Mr. International: World Traveler, Language Learner
I quit my job in the USA in 2016 to work with people from around the world! I dedicated myself to English, traveling, and a globalized world. I lived and traveled as a digital nomad for 6 years, visiting 30 countries. I speak 4 languages: English is my native language since I’m American, and while traveling I learned 3 more to an intermediate level.

Work & Education Experience
I obtained my CELTA certification from Teaching House, New York (Cambridge University). I’m also a trained and certified teacher in my state, New Jersey, USA. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in History and Education in 2015 from New Jersey City University.*
*CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is an internationally recognized teaching qualification from Cambridge Assessment English, University of Cambridge — one of the most widely respected credentials for teaching English as a foreign language.
- I had to student teach to earn my degree. I worked for 4 months in 2015, teaching 12 year olds Math, Science, English, and History.
- My first English teaching job was at a school in Costa Rica, teaching adults and children. I worked there for 18 months, from 2016–2017.
- I worked in a Brazilian community in 2018 in my home state of New Jersey.
- I started working online in 2018 and started to travel around the world with my job. I’ve been to 30 countries!
- I’ve learned three languages to conversational fluency: Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. These days, I’m most confident in Spanish and Portuguese.
- I started Everything English with John during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
- Currently I work on YouTube and italki. I often do it while traveling!
- I teach students from all languages and all cultures around the world!
My Teaching Philosophy
As a professional teacher, it’s my job to focus on the student. That’s why all of my lessons are student-centered and feature activities to help students grow in a relaxed, fun, and conversational learning environment while also presenting appropriate challenges. All of my lessons are created with each individual student in mind, because every student has different needs. I believe that English is one of the most important languages in the world, and each learner can contribute something to our globalized society with the power of this language. My role is to help the student effectively express themselves in order to achieve their individual goals.
